Kenowa 23.8-inch 200Hz is a desktop-size 1080P IPS gaming screen at 9 mm and 2.3 kg: 200Hz with FreeSync, 1200:1, 100% sRGB, speakers, a 90-degree stand and VESA holes, with every cable in the box. It moves between rooms, not in a bag: USB-C and HDMI carry signal only and the 12V supply must be plugged in.
Kenowa’s 23.8-inch 200Hz monitor is a desktop-size gaming screen that happens to be 9mm thick and 2.3 kg. The 1920×1080 IPS panel refreshes at 200Hz with FreeSync, quotes a 1200:1 contrast ratio, 100% sRGB and a 178-degree viewing angle, and has a matte finish, dual speakers and a headphone jack. A stand tilts through 90 degrees and 75×75 VESA holes take an arm or a wall bracket. It connects over full-featured USB-C or HDMI, and this is the part to read twice: neither port powers it. The 12V DC supply in the box must be plugged in whatever the source, which makes this a monitor for moving between desks and rooms rather than for a bag, and Kenowa’s own listing says as much. 1-year warranty.
Display: 23.8-Inch 1080P IPS at 200Hz

The number Kenowa is selling is the refresh rate. At 200Hz the panel redraws more than three times as often as a 60Hz portable, so motion is smooth, the cursor feels immediate and fast games lose their blur; FreeSync keeps the panel in step with the frame rate the graphics card is actually producing so nothing tears. Kenowa adds the honest caveat that the computer has to be able to output 200Hz for any of that to happen, and the 1ms response time in Amazon’s field is quick enough to keep up with it.
The rest of the picture is solid. 100% sRGB is full coverage of the web colour space, the 1200:1 contrast ratio sits a little above the 1000:1 that most IPS panels quote, the 178-degree viewing angle keeps colour steady from the side, and the matte finish keeps room lights off a panel this large. Brightness is the one figure with a problem: Amazon’s field reads “300 lm”, which is lumens rather than nits, and Kenowa’s bullets do not give a figure at all. Read it as a panel around the 300-nit portable norm, but treat the number as unconfirmed. HDR is not mentioned.
Connectivity: Signal by USB-C or HDMI, Power by DC Only
The USB-C port takes a laptop or phone whose USB-C carries video, which Kenowa specifies as USB-C 3.1 or higher and full-featured, and the HDMI port takes desktops, consoles and laptops without USB-C video. A 3.5mm jack feeds headphones. What neither port does is power the panel. Kenowa states twice that USB-C and HDMI carry signal only and that the DC supply must be connected for the monitor to run, so every setup involves a wall socket. Kenowa lists laptops, desktops, smartphones, Xbox and PS4 as sources.
Two things the listing does not say. It does not give the HDMI or DisplayPort version, so whether a given source reaches the full 200Hz at 1080P over its cable is not confirmed; a PS4 or an Xbox will run at their own 60 or 120Hz ceilings whatever the panel can do. Kenowa quotes 2.3 kg, about 5.1 lb, and 9mm thick, which is roughly half the weight of a 24-inch desktop monitor with its stand and a fraction of the depth. Amazon’s fields say 7.73 lb and 21.1 by 12.5 by 1.2 inches; the weight is plainly the boxed figure and the dimensions include the stand, so use Kenowa’s numbers for the monitor itself. Kenowa is also candid that this is portable in the sense of moving between locations, not compact, and says outright that it is not recommended for long-distance travel. Take that at face value: a screen you carry from the study to the living room or to a friend’s console setup, with a power socket at each end.
The stand is built in and adjusts through 90 degrees for height and angle, and the 75x75mm VESA holes put the panel on a desk arm or a wall bracket when it stops moving. No bracket is included.
Audio: Dual Speakers and a 3.5mm Jack
Dual speakers are built in for calls, video and casual games, and the headphone jack takes over for anything that matters. Kenowa does not state the speaker output.
